20g Silk Carrier Rods

These are the by product from the process of unreeling silk filament from the cocoon, "tubes" build up around the metal rods used in the process and are then cut to remove them. They still contain sericin - the natural "glue" or gum found in unprocessed silk. They can be used to add texture to felt and embellishments to textiles. They can also be dyed, soaked and split and will add a wonderful shine to your work.
